First Game (and known bugs!)
Skill Swiper » Devlog
I'm thrilled to announce my first-ever game on itch.io as part of the 7DRL2024 Game Jam! Skill Swiper is heavily influenced by various Isekai web novels, manga, and anime. You gain a special skill (Skill Swiper) that you use to quickly go from weak to strong, hopefully strong enough to survive the labyrinth within which you find yourself!
It's an exciting start, but there's a lot more to do to make the game complete:
- Add health bars
- I need to add new skills - I have 300+ skills on my TODO list and I've only implemented 16 of them T_T
- Add more monsters, items, and equipment
- Add more sound effects and music
- Key rebinding and controller support
- Keep updating and polishing game
Known Bugs
- Starting a new game doesn't seem to clear the previous game state, so workaround is to refresh the page. One indicator of this bug is that you only have Basic Attack 1 in all your slots.
- Skills weren't saved (only items)... sorry folks x.x
- Related to the above, going to a previously visited floor that still had monsters will load the monsters, but they won't have their skills anymore... meaning nothing to steal D: - workaround is always go forward (down)
- The Fireball Spell range indicator is too big. Only tiles fully within the red square will be hit.
